A crane shot is shot taken by a camera on a moving crane or jib. Most cranes accommodate both the camera and an operator, but some can be moved by remote control. Crane  


The crane shot allows the audience to leave a normal point of view, creating a novel perspective that's inherently cinematic.

What is a crane shot is when you take a camera and have it mounted on jib or a crane that moves up and down. 


Why do film makers use crane shots. Using these shots can help set a scene- establish geography and the world of the story. Crane shots can help end films, shows, or videos with the classic riding off into the sunset moment. Crane shots can also be used to show large crowds or sets
