favorite animated short

 Fox Lines



Story- the moon came down to earth looking for help to light the night sky at first the animals weren't convinced then the moon told the animals he is not as strong as the sun because the moon changes phases. Then he told the animal that they would be able to help the humans and they would create stories about them 

Characters- each charter were based on the different constellation in the night sky. Then you had the moon that came to find help to help light the night sky  


Fox- At first the fox was really happy to join the other animals in the sky but when he tried to join them he wasn't able to and got all sad. throughout this short the development of the fox was great you have this little fox that at first you think wouldn't be a big part of this story then at the end you find out that the fox is the biggest part of the story.

Moon- the moon is kind of mysterious at first then you start to get to know the character and what his intentions are. the design of the moon is like a wizard  

flow- the flow in the animation is very soothing/calming. the camera panes from left to right. then the camera panes out at the end when the fox becomes the northern lights.

surprise- The surprise came at the end when the little fox become the northern lights that light up the night sky 

timing- some of the comedic timing came from the fox event though this short is more toughing than comedic

1.  progression

for the progression in this short was when the dad comes in and sees his daughters hair all crazy and then he tries to help when he failed so many times the daughter started to get sad then she ran back to her room  

2. character  


I notice the cat in this animated has its own unique personality hes somewhat trying to help the  girl pick out a new hair style but when she doesn't agree he rolls hes eyes and walks off.


3. comedic timing 

the comedic timing was when the dad was trying to help his daughter fix her hair and it was like he was in a wrestling match of his life. other comedic timing was the interaction with the cat in the morning the little girl giving him a hug and his like what are you doing

Getting to know

What is the most important thing that you hope to learn from this class?  creating  3D animations to put on my portfolio  learning to rig a character/ object 


Academic background/aspirations and what are your plans after graduating?  I hopefully plan to get a job in my field in 2D animation/ 3D animation or in character design. I love to come up with stories I hope to create my own full length animation some day   



What is your major and why did you choose it? my major is production animation I choice this major because I always found it fascinating  on how each animation was made down to the fine details

What has been your favorite class since you have been here? my favorite class since I been here would have to be motion graphics 2d animation  and 3d design 




Why? for motion graphics and 2d animation I found interesting on how each object moved from the screen and make 2D images come to life . For 3D it was because I wanted to learn how to make 3D modals come to life

Have you ever studied animation before?   Yes   Describe your experience. I have learned 3D animation and 2d animation I found both animations fascinating and sometimes challenging in their both ways

 I learn best with hands on activities inside a classroom
